Tai Fauci
Tai grew up in the in a creative commune of sorts. Her father, Dan Fauci was a creativity guru turned Paramount Television Executive. Her mother, Jeanne Fauci was a fashion desogner turned writer for “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and “Deep Space Nine.” Tai has been working behind the scenes in "the industry" since she was 14, when she interned in her first writer’s room on the TV Show “Maggie.” Tai went on to PA on other shows and intern in film marketing.
In 2002, while still in school, Tai consulted on the NBC Pilot “The Class of ’06.” That summer, she came home to set up her newly retired father’s production shingle. After Tai set up the business, she stayed on to run development and be a managing partner. She ran development for four years, during which the company sold multiple projects to Paramount, FOX and Showtime.
In her spare time, she wrote, produced and directed, ON THE COUCH, an award winning short film starring Joanna Canton, Fisher Stevens, Gedde Watanabe and Bruce Davison; produced the short film, CASTING COUCH; and has acted as the programming director and screenplay competition director for the FirstGlance Film Festival, a bicoastal festival that was named “One of the top 10 film festival investments” by MOVIEMAKER Magazine.
She remains an active consultant for the festival and a screenplay consultant for aspiring writers and independent producers. Tai has consulted with Tom Holland (writer/director of Child's Play), Felicia Henderson (writer/executive producer of the hit series, Fringe), Adam Chase (writer/executive producer of Friends), Micahael Platt & Barry Safchik (writer/producers of Showtime's WEEDS), Bruce Wagner (best selling novelist) and many others.
Tai recently co-wrote a film adaptation of novel, THE HIGHEST TIDE by Jim Lynch with Academy Award Winner, Fisher Stevens. Tai is currently working on two comedy features.
In Spring 2006, Tai teamed up with writer/director Jack Monroe to form Wit’s End Films LLC, where she has been developing a handful of film and new media projects. Recently, the duo has completed post-production the first four episodes of their web series, Palisades Pool Party. Tai co-wrote, produced and edited the project.
When she isn't doing her day job, Tai is an avid photographer and editorial cartoonist.
